The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has chosen four companies—Monee Financial Technologies, ReStabilise, Revolut, and VVTX—to participate in its regulatory sandbox program focused on stablecoins. The initiative, launched in November 2025, aims to test how these digital assets function under proposed regulatory frameworks before final rules are implemented in 2026.

The sandbox will evaluate stablecoin use cases across payments, wholesale settlement, and trading, with a primary focus on issuance. The FCA received 20 applications for the program, reflecting strong industry interest in shaping future regulations. "This cohort demonstrates our commitment to fostering innovation while ensuring clear, effective rules," the regulator stated.
